Who should attend this course?

Experience level of attendees – to whom (which level) course is pitched at any doctor, paramedic or registered nurses working in an emergency setting.

Why should someone attend this course?

Ventilation terminology has become obscured by the manufacturers of ventilators, this leads to confusion amongst healthcare practitioners. We aim to unravel the puzzle of ventilation by going back to basics, introducing the newer modes of ventilation; we will demonstrate the overlap between terms used in ventilation.

After the workshop the student will be able to understand the theory of mechanical ventilation as well as know how to ventilate a patient effectively.
