The Division of Emergency Medicine is a joint Division between the University of Cape Town and University of Stellenbosch, currently being run and supported by twenty Emergency Medicine Specialists as well as a number of Honorary Staff. Faculty members are involved in under- and postgraduate teaching at post universities, as well as lecturing on the various offered short courses. In addition, the furthering of research in Emergency Medicine is being actively encouraged through the MMed, MPhil, MSc and PhD degrees on offer through the Division.
