The EMSB course teaches the initial management and stabilization of the severely burned patient including burn pathophysiology and anatomy, resuscitation of the burn victim, management of the burned airway, treatment of burns in children, transfer criteria, management of different types of burn injuries and skills like escharotomy.

Advanced Airway Management

The AAM course covers all aspects of airway management, from basic facemask ventilation to tracheal intubation, difficult and failed airway management, as well as the use of rescue airway devices. It revisits many core concepts, dispels myths, highlights pitfalls and offers many useful tips to smooth airway interventions.

Fundamentals of Emergency Care

The FEC course revises some of the important fundamental topics and principles in Emergency Medicine including ventilation, advanced airway management including RSI, cardiac arrest algorhythms and venous access. Emergency conditions and skills learned during the workshops will be practiced in various patient simulations or scenario-based teaching.

Advanced Emergency Management

These courses will provide the more experienced healthcare worker with detailed advanced training in separate specialised advanced healthcare management modules. Each module must be booked separately and the candidate may choose the modules applicable to their day to day working environment. Separate modules can also be spread out over consecutive years. Examples are drawn from the Emergency Centre environment, but are applicable and an asset in most healthcare fields.

Module 1 focuses on in-depth principles of Continuous Quality Improvement in the Emergency Centre and Patient Safety.
