The course will cover the recognition and management of dysrhythmias as well as the use of the defibrillator.

Students attending the course will learn about dysrhythmia recognition and pharmacological management, 12 lead ECG interpretation of ACS, STEMI, NSTEMI, Transcutaneous pacing, use of the AED, defibrillation and cardioversion.

Healthcare Practitioners working in the Emergency Center are often faced with patients admitted with life threatening dysrhythmias; it is therefore essential for them to be able to make an immediate diagnosis and initiate appropriate management. This workshop will give them the skills to initiate appropriate management of patients with life threatening dysrhythmias.
