Pre-hospital Emergency Paediatrics Course
The PEP course aims to teach the candidate to assess unstable paediatric patients and to manage the acutely unwell child. The course also covers differences between paediatrics and adults, dealing with pain management in a child and skills related to paediatric acute illness management. It teaches this through lectures, skills workshops and simulations.

ECG
The course will cover the recognition and management of dysrhythmias as well as the use of the defibrillator.
Students attending the course will learn about dysrhythm recognition and pharmacological management, 12 lead ECG interpretation of ACS, STEMI, NSTEMI, Transcutaneous pacing, use of the AED, defibrillation and cardioversion.

Diving Medical Examiner Course
Distance learning course with a 4-day contact session teaching the medical practitioner how to examine divers and consider diving related injuries. Apart from being able to expand one’s practice, successful candidates may be able to register with the South African Department of Labour as a Designated Medical Practitioner (an examiner of South African commercial divers).
