- Current registration as a Medical or Dental practitioner, Intern, Junior Intern, professional Nurse or Paramedic.
- Valid Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers Certificate in accordance with the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa.
- Successful completion of the entry test.

Advanced Airway Management
- Non-invasive airway techniques and devices

- Respiratory arrest
- Ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia
- Pulseless electrical activity and asystole
- Bradycardias and tachycardias
- Acute myocardial infarction

Electrical Therapy
- Defibrillation with automated and manual defibrillators
- Synchronized cardioversion
- Transcutaneous pacing
Invasive therapeutic and monitoring techniques
- Peripheral IV access

- The use of emergency medications

Current Job: Director Cardiocare
Experience: Extensive Emergency Medicine, pre hospital and Educational experience and is one of the founding members of the College of Emergency Medicine in South Africa.
He was previously Principal of the Transvaal Ambulance Training College and Principal of the Western Cape Ambulance Training College.
Holding Aviation Medical Examiner and Diving and Submarine Medicine certification, he is also certified as an instructor for numerous short courses (BLS, ATLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS, ANLS, ACLS-EP)
Interests: Acute resuscitation, Pre hospital emergency medicine and rescue, Disaster management & Aviation medicine.
